VTOL Hypersonic Aircraft
Pathfinder
Reusable, multi-role hypersonic VTOL UAS for runway-independent missions
Pathfinder is a reusable, rocket-powered unmanned aircraft designed to move time-critical cargo and sensor payloads without a runway, launcher, or fixed base. Powered by NFA’s 3D-printed, full-flow staged combustion Mjölnir engine, it takes off vertically, cruises at hypersonic speed, and returns to any austere site to refuel and fly again.
Runway-Independent
Vertical takeoff and landing from austere pads. No runway, no launch rail, no fixed infrastructure.
Reusable
Return, refuel, and re-fly. Pathfinder is built around Mjölnir’s deep throttle, start/stop, and two-commodity operations — the same operability that makes the engine reusable.
Hypersonic
Boost-cruise-glide compresses transit time across long or contested distances. Less time enroute. Faster delivery. Faster revisit.
Clean Propellants
Liquid oxygen and liquid natural gas. Lower-cost, and cleaner than jet fuel. Net-negative carbon footprint when LNG is renewably sourced.
Representative Missions
Rapid Airlift & Resupply
Deliver time-critical cargo directly to the point of need — forward sites, ships, and locations without the need for a runway. Supports emergency resupply when infrastructure is down.
ISR
Hypersonic penetration of denied airspace provides on-demand collection in areas underserved by conventional ISR.
MEDEVAC & Mobility
Transport medical supplies, blood and other critical cargo from helipad to helipad in minutes.
